Beating a Dead Horse
The presidential election is over, but apparently our friend Rachel D’oro has not been informed.
Today, the Associated Press released a “news” article regarding “free 2007 trips” for Alaska governor Sarah Palin. The article notes that the AP already covered this information in an October release, but failed to specify the reason for republishing the same information. According to my own personal opinion, the AP and leftist media with which it is associated has chosen to beat a dead horse.
The article also concludes by pointing out additional endorsements that Palin and family received that were not filed late. And by the way, let’s not forget that the late disclosure was a result of a staff error, not an unethical decision specifically made by Palin for the cause of her and McCain’s campaign. Which, by the way, is over. And which, by the way, the article seems to insinuate that Palin intended to unethically avoid disclosing this filing for the purpose of helping her campaign.
Honestly, though. Can we please stop beating the dead horse? We get it. We lost, and now we’re going to pay for it (in taxes). Do you need to bash Palin and/or McCain or the Republican party in general more now, just because you want to exercise your political muscles? Or maybe you’re afraid that she’ll run for president and get elected in 2012. Is that it?
I don’t resent that we lost, I accept it. Let’s move on, together, and stop drawing partisan lines so distinctly (insert Nancy Pelosi reference).
You can find the article at http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081203/ap_on_el_pr/palin_ethics, for those interested. I’m off to a politically incorrect and boring 3 hours of history class.
